    Causes of Neurogenic Bladder

    There are several causes of Neurogenic Bladder, but two are main such as-:

    Overactive Bladder-:

    When your nerves and muscles stop working properly, then these results in bladder problems. You may be unable to empty your bladder completely. In this condition, your bladder muscles may be overactive as well as squeeze more as compared to normal. In this case, your muscles are too loose and these results in frequent urge to urination. Well, this is too embarrassing urinary condition, due to which you feel too low.

    Underactive conditions-:

    This is a completely opposite condition to overactive bladder, in which you are not able to empty your bladder completely.


    Well, the signs of these conditions differ from person to person. It depends on the condition and which type of urinary problem you have. The common signs are mentioned below-:

    • Urinary Tract Infection, this is caused by harsh or harmful bacteria as well as viruses.
    • Leaking Urine or incontinence, if you are suffering from Overactive Bladder condition.
    • Frequency in OAB
    • Urinary Retention, also known as Obstruction, if a person is suffering from the Underactive Bladder problem.
